2022 season review

Ruben Hage at Donington Park

Wow, what a season it’s been! I’ve enjoyed every minute of racing in the Ginetta GT5 Challenge this year, and to finish 6th overall in the championship, with two podiums in tow, in my first year of senior circuit racing is a dream come true.

Firstly, a huge thank you is due to all of my incredible partners who have been by my side all year supporting me. Every single result I got this year was for them, and I can’t thank them enough for all of their support.

Thank you to the whole Total Control Racing team: Lee, Kenny, Les and Chris. They’ve done a mega job with the car all year. Thanks also to my driver coaches and mentors James Dorlin, Sam Maher-Loughnan and Sean Doyle for sharing their wisdom!

Thank you to my RHR team including my family and friends who have supported me from the track or from home, and Jess Turner Media for managing my social media and design work throughout the year.

Thanks to Jakob Ebrey Photography for all the incredible photos taken this year, and to Rex Helley for coming along to capture the final race weekend.

Thanks to my fellow competitors for an exciting year of close but fair racing, and especially to my teammates Sam Smith and Will Rochford.

A big thanks to all the organisers, Ginetta and the entire orange army who give up their time to allow us to do what we love. We couldn’t do what we do without you all!

And last but by no means least, thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout the year, whether you were watching from home or trackside, I hope you enjoyed the season as much as I did.

2022, over and out!
